Emergency Communication Test
E112
Since March 17, 2022, all smartphones sold in the EU market must comply with the E112 Regulation. This regulation aims to ensure smartphones can rapidly and accurately provide caller location information to emergency rescue services during emergency calls, enabling first responders to reach incident scenes promptly.
Service Overview

The E112 functionality mandates smartphones to support:
    Galileo satellite navigation system
    AML (Advanced Mobile Location)
    Wi-Fi positioning requirements

These technologies enhance positioning accuracy, particularly in urban environments where high-rise

buildings may interfere with GPS signal reception.

The regulation also requires smartphones to transmit location data to emergency services for rapid

positioning and response during critical situations.
