Temu, a cross-border e-commerce platform under Pinduoduo, has rapidly expanded globally due to its strong background and unique operational model. After joining the Temu platform in October, Ti Group has recently enhanced its service capabilities, expanding its scope to include toy products, FCM (Food Contact Materials), and electronic appliances (chemical testing and certification).
Expanded Service Categories
Following Ti Group's entry into the Temu cross-border e-commerce platform in October as an accredited compliance service provider for wireless communications, electronic appliances, and automotive parts testing and certification, the company has now added toy products, FCM, and electronic appliances (chemical testing and certification) to its service offerings. This expansion provides one-stop testing and certification solutions for merchants in these categories.
It is important to note that, starting from October 2024, the Temu platform will only accept test reports issued by testing institutions already registered in its cross-border service market.
Required Certifications for Temu Platform Products
The Temu platform has different compliance requirements for various countries or regions. For example, toy products require two key certifications: CPC certification (for the US market) and CE-Toy certification (for the European market).
CPC Certification (Children's Product Certificate): A mandatory certification under the US Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA), requiring manufacturers or importers to issue a written certificate confirming that the product complies with children's safety standards.
CE Marking: A mandatory certification mark for entering the European Union market. Toy products must comply with EU safety directives and bear the CE mark to indicate compliance with EU safety and environmental requirements. According to CE certification requirements, toy products must pass relevant tests under the EN-71 series of standards.
Cross-Border Consumer Goods Expertise
Ti Group's consumer goods services focus on restricted substance testing for toys, infant and children's products, electronic appliances, food contact materials, and other consumer goods. Leveraging a broad overseas cooperation network, localized laboratories, and a team of experts from multinational members, Ti Group provides comprehensive testing, process management, training, and consulting services to relevant clients.
Even before joining Temu, Ti Group's consumer goods services had long supported cross-border trade for related products, boasting mature service capabilities and extensive experience. Among these, the toy product services cover the widest range of categories and standards, including US toy standards (CPSC, ASTM F963, etc.), European toy standards (EN71, EN 62115, REACH regulations, POPs regulations, etc.), and Brazilian toy standards (NM 300-1: mechanical and physical properties, etc.).
