What is the European Accessibility Act?


The European Accessibility Act (EU 2019/882) aims to ensure that people with disabilities and the elderly can equally access and use digital products and services by establishing unified accessibility standards. It covers products and services such as computers, ATMs, smart devices, e-books, and smart TVs, and will officially take effect on June 28, 2025.

(1)Assessment Content: Evaluate whether existing products or services comply with the EN 301 549 standard, such as:

    • Does the website support screen readers?

    • Are videos provided with subtitles?

    • Do mobile controls support tactile feedback?


  1. (2)Improvement Plan: Prioritize resolving key issues affecting user experience, such as optimizing interface interactions and integrating assistive technology compatibility designs.


  2. 2、Compliance Declaration and Documentation Preparation

    • (1)Technical Documentation: Provide detailed descriptions of product design, testing processes, and accessibility solutions.

    • (2)EU Declaration of Conformity: Declare that the product complies with EAA requirements and affix the CE label.
